SUMI DYED HORSE ENGINEER BOOTS

1400年に渡って受け継がれ伝統工芸にも指定されている

奈良墨を使用し、完成した「墨黒ホース」。

その墨黒ホースを使用したエンジニアブーツが新たな

ラインナップとして登場。

They're made from Y'2's Sumi dye leather, a vegetable tanned 

1.5mm tea core horse hide. Dyed with traditional ink from the Nara  prefecture,

this leather takes twice as long to finish due to

the slow penetration of the antique coloring method. 

サドル芯となっているため、

革が剥げてもオイルを入れたり、

焼けることで色が変化していくのが特徴だ。

マットな風合いの漆黒は、

他の素材にはない存在感を醸し出している。

Sumi ink is derived from ash, and delivers an extremely rich and solid back coloration,

that will gradually wear down and fade over time, revealing the natural interior of the leather.
